Also known as Trypticase or Soybean-Casein Digest, Tryptic Soy Broth is a general purpose medium for the cultivation of fastidious and nonfastidious microorganisms, including common aerobic, facultative and anaerobic bacteria and fungi. Whether you need a general-purpose, nonselective media or you need added blood to facilitate a more fasitdious bacterial lawn for the detection of hemolytic reactions, we have several products to choose from. MOLTOX does not provide microorganisms for testing. Some media are temperature sensitive and may have specific temperature and storage requirements for shipping/delivery.

LB Agar, Miller, also referred to as Luria-Bertani Agar, is a widely used medium in molecular biology applications for maintaining and propagating E. coli. LB Agar, Miller contains twice the amount of sodium chloride as that of the Lennox formulation which allows for the researcher to be selective of the salt content when working with a specific strain. MOLTOX offers a wide variety of LB Agar, Miller plates with the addition of several different types and concentrations of antibiotics to provide a more selective medium for recombinant cells with a specific antibiotic resistance. Used as an industry standard for maintaining and cultivating recombinant strains of E. coli and for the preparation of plasmid DNA, MOLTOX offers a large selection of LB Agars and Broths with plenty of added antibiotics to choose from for a more selective media. Some media are temperature sensitive and may have specific temperature and storage requirements for shipping/delivery.

For propagation and maintenance of E. Coli. Low Salt Formula. Molecular Biology Grade.
Dissolve 20 grams in 1 liter distilled water. Then adjust pH to 7.2. Heat and frequently agitate to completely dissolve. Sterilize by autoclaving for 15 minutes.

Dissolve 31g in one liter distilled water. Heat solution to boiling with continuous stirring. Sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes. Final ph @ 25°C: 6.8-7.2.

Cell Systems Corporation Bac-Off Antibiotic - 10mL (4Z0-644)
Bac-Off (4mL or 10mL) is a widely used antibiotic ideal for use in your cell culture experiments -- inhibiting the growth of bacterial agents and controlling contamination without harming the cells. By nature, cells can enclose bacteria adherent to their luminal surface and sink them into the cytoplasm. Cells containing bac-vacuoles at high multiplicities are adversely affected. Bac-Off is formulated at MIC - minimum inhibitory concentration. Its bacteriostatic (working strength 1:500) and bactericidal (double strength 1:250) activity is achieved by inhibiting the bacterial enzymes topoisomerase (II & IV). Unlike most antibiotics, it won't harm mammalian cells at typical working strengths. Bac-Off may also be used at 10 times working strength (1:50 v/v) at which it exhibits mycoplasmacidal properties. Bac-Off contains the synthetic fluoroquinone Ciprofloxacin, with a wide range of in vitro activity against most Gram-negative and Gram-positive microorganisms.
